TCUF Ready to Assist CU Staff Affected by Metroplex Tornadoes
Texas Credit Union Foundation (TCUF) executive director Courtney Moran says TCUF is poised to assist credit union staff impacted by yesterday’s tornadoes that swept across Texas.
The Texas Credit Union League (TCUL) is starting to get reports of credit unions and their staff that have been impacted by the tornadoes that swept across Texas yesterday. A credit union branch in Lancaster reportedly had the windows blown out in its facility; an employee of a credit union in Dallas has reportedly lost their home, and several employees at an Irving-based credit union say they experienced significant damage to their vehicles.
Moran reminds credit union employees that emergency grants are available to them through the Foundation. The grants of up to $500 per credit union employee are intended to assist with immediate disaster relief needs, including out-of-pocket expenses to repair damages caused by a natural disaster.
Credit union staff in need of an emergency grant should complete an Emergency Grant Application available via the disaster relief tab on this website. Please note that your CEO or manager must sign and date the applications before submitting to TCUF.
Emergency grants are processed expeditiously and will be mailed to grant recipient.
